2 Weeks…
I was kinda busy to blog for the past 2 weeks or lotsa things happened so I don’t know where to start.
Hmm.. it started…
2 weeks ago, I went to become a crew for a convention called Mind Mastery Convention 2007. And I’ve made a new friend, Keng Ling. We met during board game session called Zero to Heros but we didn’t talk much though at that time… not until MMC, we get to know each other better.
And then.. it was Jacky Cheung concert. We decided to go for the concert last minute. 4 of us, me, lenny, keng ling and jaq. We all loved the concert!
After the concert, we were all itchy to sing so we actually planned for Karaoke. Because of some reasons, we have to wait until Monday. Meanwhile, Jaq and Keng Ling went to Seremban on Sunday for a training. And guess what they brought me all the way from Seremban.
Yes. Nothing else but the Seremban Siu Pao.
But this was not just any siu pao. This one was ’siu pao with love’ and we called it ‘ai sam siu pao’
because Keng Ling drove all the way to my house just to deliver the siu pao at 1am. So sweet. If she was a guy, I’ll probably fall in love with her already! Too bad Keng Ling, I can only help you to look for a good bf (wink wink).
And finally, the much awaited karaoke session to cure our concert withdrawal symptoms. Haha..Ha.. The best thing is we all took Monday off and went to sing during lunch time. It was only RM9 per person with lunch set for 5 hours singing time. Pheww…
After K, it was still kinda early so went for a movie – Hairspray. Jaq was shaking her leg to the beat from starting to the end. So we have no choice but to join the beat. And I actually think John Travolta was quite good.
Few days later, Keng Ling told me Popular bookstore, Sungei Wang having clearance sale up to 90%. So we drove to KL and check it out. Got myself some books and the Ghibli collection because it was damn cheap after discount.
Finally comes to today, we went for a Free workshop – Business Psychology Workshop. It was quite good workshop because they only limit it to 30 people, and the best thing is it was not a talk. It was more like attending a one day course. The first thing we were asked to do was to analyse an ad. Hehe… isn’t that such a piece of cake?
Finally, Keng Ling also gave me a book called ‘The Little Prince’. I’ve heard about it for long time but never read it before. It’s a classic tale of equal appeal to children and adults. Also said this is a thought-provoking allegory of the human condition. Hmm.. interesting… have to read and find out more…

Good news is MPS had already canceled the dog catching competition. Woohoo! Lily actually sent me the whole story of what happened and why MPS canceled the competition but it was just too long, so Lily why don’t you tell me next time when we meet.
And yes, I agree with you Chee Chiaw. The government should do a competition for hunting illegal indon immigrants. They cause more problem than the dogs. Good idea!

Meanwhile YK, no matter your eyes are black or yellow, black turning yellow, yellow black, black yellow, you are still pretty okay. =)
RM15,000 for dog catching
KUALA LUMPUR: Catch more than 150 stray dogs within six months and you might just win at least RM11,000.
This competition was announced by the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) recently to solve the stray dog problem in the area.
It is open to residents.
However, the dog-catching competition drew a lot of flak from animal lovers and pet owners who described the move as inhumane and distasteful.
Council president Zainal Abidin Azim said the competition was introduced as it received about 80 complaints about stray dogs every month.
He said that despite catching about 200 stray dogs every month as part of their animal control management, the problem remained unsolved.
The chairman of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Selangor (SPCA), Christine Chin, said that the MPS was setting an unhealthy and unethical trend that encouraged people to perceive dog-catching as fun and financially rewarding.
Chin questioned the methods that residents might resort to, which could cause unnecessary pain and suffering if the dogs were maimed in the process.
Spokesman for non-governmental group Furry Friends Sabrina Yeap said that MPS should use the reward money to engage professional dog-catchers instead of relying on residents who were not trained to nab stray dogs.
Under the rules of the competition, residents can work with their respective resident committees or any other organisation, but must deliver the dogs alive.
Photographs of the captured dogs are to be submitted as proof and the council will provide tools for those interested in taking part in the competition.
The first-prize winner will walk home with RM15,000; the runner-up RM13,000 while the third -placed winner will win RM11,000.
The minimum capture for the top three winners must be at least 150 dogs each.
Each month, the council pays RM20 for each stray dog caught as an incentive to the dog-catchers.

RM15,000 is not a small amount. You never know if people go crazy catching dog to win the prize. Sigh. So, do take care of your dogs!
And there’s a online petition to TRY stop the dog catching competition. Do sign.

I haven’t bath her for 2 weeks. She’s getting smelly. In fact she very smelly already.
Am I lazy? No. I’m busy. Actually, it’s because I was not around during the weekend. My mom wanna bring her to grooming but the usual shop that we normally go closed down.
No luck. I still have to wash her this coming Sunday.
I must wash her Sunday. If not, her white hair will become yellow hair.
